Hackney rapper Nicki Knightz manages to find her tribe in release ‘Lonely Girls Hearts Club’.
Relaying lived experiences of isolation and stepping away from the norms, Knightz is able to find a whole new audience to grow with.
I have to start with the production on this track, it steps away from a lot of the usual aspects that have been coming out of London of late and avoids genre pigeon-holing. I am reminded thankfully in places of artists such as Saul Williams and the individualism that shines through.
Lyrically, a ride through human experience and performatively towering. I can’t wait to see where she goes next.
