With the announcement of their forthcoming debut album Drifter due out March 25th, San Francisco outsit Young Prisms deliver a heavenly taster with ‘Honeydew‘.
The lead single has a curious melancholy at its core which backs up sentiments like “‘Honeydew’ (the song) is about looking back on life and wishing for more, as if it wasn’t right or good enough”, as explained by vocalist Stefanie Hodapp.
The band use foggy atmospherics to deliver a sonic dreamlike state and the gentle lull the arrangement creates leads you into a soothing déjà vu. ‘Honeydew‘ manages to feel nostalgic and refreshing all at the same time.
