Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer Terra Lopez aka Rituals of Mine returns with a breathtaking reworking of Toro Y Moi’s ‘Girl Like You’.
Her trip-hop injection into the melodically memorable track makes a grand statement. With production as clear as tropical azure blue seas, Lopez has clearly been galvanised creatively. The result feels like a sonic boom, futuristic retro and utterly absorbing. Dare I say, better than the original.
There’s a modular texture to this and it feels completely absorbing. Lopez can do no wrong.
