Decca Classics invited some of music’s most exciting producers including Mr Scruff, Starkey and Martin Buttrich to pick a track from their archives and rework it for a new album.
Since my heady days of going to see Mr Scruff in many a Manchester venue back in the late 90s, I still remain dedicated to his incredible talent.
With a matured sound, the acclaimed producer still manages to inject just enough darkness into his work that provides a tension that is addictive. This is a masterclass in production and the combination of these two artists is a cross-pollination of epic proportions.
