Within one of the most popular genres, singer-songwriter Meg Chandler stands head and shoulders with release ‘Woodland‘.
Co-written with writing duo SOAP, Chandler reflects on lived experience, its hardships and resilience. And whilst resilience is something that is perhaps one of the wrongly praised accomplishments in life, it definitely rears its head here.
Musically, the sadness that filters through is matched with hope and thanks to a recurring hook in the guitar line which accompanies Chandler’s vocal like a baroque second part, her tones shine all manner of rewards.
