Lucy Robinson‘s lived experience takes centre stage in intimate release ‘Reverie‘.
Her candidness surrounding the release will no doubt resonate with many when it comes to the tough road that is the music industry. Written over the first lockdown which no doubt gave time for reflection and boundaries to develop, the gifted vocalist and musician has produced a surprisingly balmy and warm song given its subject matter.
With its Suzanne Vega Tom’s Diner-esque back section, it lyrically wears its heart on its sleeve and still conjures feelings of hope and freedom.
This is all on Robinson’s self-assured terms and is an impressive outing performatively, in its production and of course in its songwriting.
