It’s been interesting following Ross Clark’s journey and his collaboration with Andy Monaghan on latest project Fiskur feels like many years of self-doubt, pain and hope culminating in something that finally feels splendid.
When it comes to heartbreak, the strain ‘At The End’ manages to soundtrack is as close to the real deal. Compelling in its delivery, Clark’s distinctive vocal has the guts to document lived experience effortlessly.
The unexpected production additions vocally and the doubling up of parts add a gilded outline to an already sublime delivery. Whilst there’s an outpouring of reflective emotion is here, there’s a distinct warmth which carries through and the comfort it provides will no doubt provide musical solace for many.
