One of the most inspiring things this year (and we are only in January) is the open pool of artists pouring out of Scotland. There is no specific genre or style taking the reins and the calibre of artists already is notable.
I was lucky enough to be one of the bloggers invited to the recent Vic Galloway Christmas show back in December and we were chatting in the corridor about who we were looking forward to this year. The excitment surrounding C Duncan was brilliant and you could see people gesticulating as they were so happy.
He has recently signed to FatCat Records, home to Twilight Sad, PAWS and others. I am happy to see them pick up someone like C Duncan as I think he will be a big ambassador for the label this year.
‘Say’ is the 2nd single to be taken from his forthcoming debut album which is due for release this summer and can be pre-ordered.
Duncan’s sleeve is clearly packed full of poetic fancy, he allows his beguiling songcraft and opulent vocals to shine. ‘Say’ will go a long way in showing listeners his global appeal.
