Aberdeen 4-piece Wendell Borton are set to release their self-titled EP via Fit Like Records on 14th March.
Packed with 90s rock core, their power-pop approach and fuzz-hooks are not only addictive but as a whole, this is a ridiculously well-produced EP.
Nirvana-influenced fireball ‘Shelved’ will no doubt be a favourite for many, with its homage to the seminal trio, but for me ‘Two Thirty’ is the standout. Counterbalanced with nonchalant noise outs, this still manages to highlight a plethora of euphonic melodies.
Aberdeen’s DIY scene has always been ripe with talent and Wendell Borton are further testament to this.
