Adam Stafford – ‘Atheist Money’

I think this is my favourite track of 2015 so far, in fact I wish I could bestow more of an honour than Song of the Day.

Adam Stafford is firmly in my top 5 artists to come out of Scotland since I have started blogging and I find myself screaming at the windows in my living room, hands aloft like a preacher and shaking my head in disbelief that he is not recognised on a bigger platform. Even though his potential has always been bigger than his returns, I am grateful that he is in my musical life.

‘Atheist Money’ is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming LP Taser Revelations which is out later this year via Song, By Toad Records. The track will be available for free download May 1st.

Stafford has always been one to roam on a wide open horizon, he always seems adamant on exploring the beauty of sound and production and continues to be one of the most original artists to come out of the country. With righteous fire, this is another exhilarating journey proving something new can be created and still is wholly engaging.

Savvy arrangements brimming with gospel passages and soaring melodies, ‘Atheist Money’ carries as much integrity and intelligence as it does feeling.

I bow down to you sir.
