The Portland native’s work on ‘paul blart mall cop’ is virtually flawless. There are enough crescendos to hit a 9+ on the Richter scale and so many hooks that you will find yourself endlessly playing the song to try and consume it as much as possible.
Musically and vocally, this feels more accomplished than ever and provides a masterclass in production. Delivered with panache, there’s no excessiveness here. This hits the heart hard.
