Like a phoenix from the flames, Ruby Gaines rises with debut single ‘Cardamom‘.
Singer-songwriter and guitarist Megan Airlie has joined forces with impressive management company ICEBLINK LUCK and it seems she has finally found her footing.
Her vocal potential has always been apparent. We saw and heard that under her real-name guise but it felt as if there was always more to come. There’s a confidence here that feels authentic. Whilst her reinvention brings a stunning colour palette and an augmented band sound, there will always be her sublime voice at the centre of it all.
‘Cardamom‘ brings a refreshing addition to Scotland’s musical landscape. Her lyrical turn of phrase and clever twist in arrangement is further elevated by Airlie’s staggering delivery.
Devastating and charming in equal measure, the soul within her bones brings a fascinating dimension. It’s finally time for Ruby Gaines to breathe and by goodness, we hope that she reaches the heights that she deserves.
