Song of the Day is ‘Sleep’ by Brighton trio Youthblood. I am really starting to love Brighton’s music output as much as Glasgow’s. There is a strong sense of community and they have a ridiculous level of talent there.
‘Sleep’ is not groundbreaking, but it has everything I love – dirty guitar riffs, a catchy bastard of a chorus and it coasts on the minor.
A great alternative band can use melody to their complete advantage without losing any punk texture, say hello to Youthblood.
