There’s a simplicity in lines such as “I hope you’re doing well” that creates a brilliant poignancy as a listening experience. It is however Hamm’s voice that is the revelation here and whilst there will no doubt be comparisons to similar singer-songwriters, Hamm’s voice feels authentic in emotion and delivery.
Comparable to a warm evening casting over shimmering waters rearing moments of reflection, this is the perfect soundtrack and Hamm is a compelling musical storyteller.
