There’s a level of thought behind ‘Underachiever‘ that sets it apart from a field of musicians trying to infiltrate the same stylistic streams. The melancholy and tone behind its sustained synth strings are what tips it into a different sphere of remembrance for me.
The astuteness of the production behind the song only elevates an already immediately recognisable cadence and this is a standout song amongst this year’s hip hop renaissance.
