A favourite from the young talent’s Rookie EP, the track sees him collaborate with producer Gillieson and fellow emerging musician Hannymoon.
A downtempo melodic kaleidoscope, ‘Low Down‘ will lull you into a satisfied slump and shows a notable versatility from Washington and co. Forceful yet atmospheric, there’s a strong swagger throughout which further promotes the confidence of these creatives.
Texturally, this is a dream. It maintains tranquillity throughout whilst being only interrupted with its staccato beats and the vocal contrasts from an impressive sonic alliance.
It’s great to feel a new breeze musically when it comes to this genre and these continued alliances will no doubt be something to keep a close eye on.
