One-half of one of my favourite electronic outfits of all time Kiasmos, Janus Rasmussen continues his faultless creative record with latest release ‘Jörd‘.
Currently based in Reykjavik, his album is due for release on the 29th of March via Ki Records.
‘Jörd’ is a sensory wonder and built on the foundations laid by his previous projects. A multicoloured palette of synths, melodic arpeggios and syncopated percussion, it’s easy to lose a sense of time and place when indulging in this.
Rasmussen still manages to make this a very touching and personal production. If this is a taste of what’s to come, his forthcoming album will no doubt be one of the most talked about of the year.
