The last time I saw Maybeshewill, they were on tour with And So I Watch You From Afar so I think this gives you some kind of indication as to how good they are. Luckily, they are returning to Glasgow to play again.
Cut Loose has gone from strength to strength as a promoter and the passion that Kyle Chesney (the man behind the name) has for what he does is infectious.
As it is an all day event, there are a number of other bands hitting the stage: Flood of Red, Mutiny on the Bounty, Jean Jean, Vasa and Dialects.
I think most people know by now that Vasa are one of my favourite bands in Scotland. They are a dynamic, intriguing post-rock 4-piece that have managed to make their music sound exciting which is a refreshing change from the Explosions in the Sky and Mogwai copycats. They are certainly a highlight of the day.
Make sure you attend what promises to be a day packed with excellence.
