With her debut EP Before due out 24 June, Surinamese/Dutch folk singer-songwriter néomí gives a divine taster with her latest single ‘Not Good Enough‘.
The folk/acoustic field can be a very saturated and often generic place. The common theme of singer with acoustic guitar is a stereotypical go to. There are however gems that twinkle in the sand, those pinpoints of light that you stop and stare at. néomí is one of them, her vocal has such depth and lavishness that even on its own, it’s resplendent.
‘Not Good Enough‘ is a transparent and heartfelt song and one that makes the artist shine with absolute ease.
