With exhumed stylistic elements of a popular genre, this holds nostalgia but thanks to Turner’s incredibly endearing vocal, this resonates on an emotional level.
Musically, this has considerable charm and Turner achieves notable congruence in the song’s construction. Simply put, it’s a damn fine listen.
