Edinburgh-based musician Sean Focus has announced a new live YouTube series featuring a spotlight on a selection of some of Scotland’s other excellent artists.
The GRDN Sessions is an intimate project inspired by Sean’s videos filmed in his garden during lockdown. The afro-pop, hip-hop and dancehall artist is joined by Aberdeen’s Gidd Gamz, R&B 4-piece 4TUNE, singer-songwriter James Liandu and BBC Introducing’s inaugural ‘Scottish Act of the Year’ Bemz.
The sessions will be hosted on Sean’s label Imvaize Music Group’s YouTube channel. A new session will drop each Thursday throughout June.
About the project Sean Focus says: “Originally the sessions started because I wanted to showcase the music that people missed from my project, the weather looked nice so I went to my garden and thought let’s just film the music, live and raw. The GRDN Sessions are a testimony that if you present your music to the world in a way you feel comfortable, they will receive it in a way they feel comfortable. I’m happy to bring along other artists now to this project, some that I feel people overlook and that is what Imvaize stands for.”
