It feels like a lifetime ago since seeing them last in Glasgow with the equally mighty And So I Watch You From Afar supporting but there’s always a sense of comfort to hear their evolutions.
Anchored by math-rock sensibilities, ‘Interval‘ has a really fascinating arrestation in the performance which keeps a brilliant sense of tension throughout. All the while, the delicate vocal tones of Rhiannon Brian feel like a constraint whilst the sprawling energies and textures of her musical accompaniment feel beautifully untamed.
