Off The Record Returns!

Part of one of Scotland’s most influential music industry organisations, Born To Be Wide has hosted a plethora of notable events. 

Off The Record (OTR) is another part of the company and its birth in 2013 was a much-needed resource for young musicians and aspiring professionals. Open to anyone aged 16-25, their aim they have since provided an important platform in Scotland to inspire people to pursue a career in music. 

Over two Saturdays (17th & 24th November), OTR returns to not one, but two cities. Edinburgh and Dundee will play host to a selection of seminars, workshops and advice sessions.

A selection of music business figures will host and take part in the timetable providing excellent information, guidance and personal experience to those attending. 

Some of the topics covered will be: 

  • Releasing Music
  • Streaming
  • Working In Music
  • Songwriting & Craft
  • Getting and Organising Gigs
  • Publishing
  • Collection Societies

Whilst the Edinburgh event is sold out, Dundee still has availability and takes place at Caird Hall. 

Speakers range from gig promoters to radio producers to musicians and more. You never know, you could meet your future manager, publisher or even book a show! 

Following each of the industry daytime events will be gig showcases.
