Lazy Day: ‘Hiccup’

Lazy Day: ‘Hiccup’

It’s not only Tilly Scantlebury’s voice that has become something of a beacon in an ocean for me, Lazy Day have this incredible gift of writing some of the most addictive, yet understated hooks.

Hiccup‘ is the latest release from the quartet. Accompanied by a kaleidoscopic, rainbow-fuelled video, its sweeping, transcendental guitars are set to a rhythmic pulse and the result is a strong, multidimensional extension of their previous mini discography.

There is so much intelligence within their songwriting, their raw elemental style is to be admired and they’re the grunge derivative I have been waiting for.
