Impressively, Kathryn Williams is approaching her 10th album release whilst continuing to construct her own universe.
Based in Newcastle and part of the eternally respected One Little Indian roster, Williams has announced new album ‘Hypoxia’, inspired by Sylvia Plath’s ‘The Bell Jar’ to be released 15th June.
Song of the Day is first taster ‘Cuckoo’, co-written by Ed Harcourt. With its unnerving piano passages and meticulous orchestration, this intensifies so much that a patchwork of moods will be enough to make your shoulders to drop and your surroundings augment.
Williams weaves a dark, soulful spell that creates enough delicate complexity to immerse you in her fragile, yet beautiful world.
